Central’s Pavement Management Plan (PMP) has been finalized and published to provide transparency in how roadways are selected for maintenance. The PMP identifies strategies or actions that the City of Central plans to take in order to implement a fiscally conservative roadway maintenance program. Some roadways are in dire need of repair, requiring very expensive and time-consuming projects; however, some roadways are in good condition, and it is the intention of this program to keep them in good condition and extend the service life of the existing pavement. As roadways in poor condition are reconstructed, they will be programmed for preventive maintenance so that over time, fewer roadways will need full reconstruction but rather surface treatments to maintain a smooth driving surface. This program is a result of your local tax dollars, so please continue to shop and do business locally!
