- Severe weather forecasted for our area tonight through Wednesday morning.
- 2-3” of rainfall is forecasted for our area with locally higher amounts possible.
- Both Thursday and Friday mornings will start in the mid-20s with hard freezes possible mainly along and north of the I-10/12 corridor.
- Temperatures are forecast to fall into the mid to upper 20s Thursday morning and upper 20 to low 30s Friday morning.

Here is an update concerning the chances for STRONG/SEVERE WEATHER Tuesday night, RAIN Tuesday into Wednesday, and the COLD TEMPERATURES expected Thursday and Friday mornings.

· Severe Weather likelihood has decreased to a marginal or lower risk. We can't rule out a severe thunderstorm or possibly some small hail.
· Rainfall amounts have increased.
· Included, now, is a forecast for the duration of Below Freezing Temperatures Thursday and Friday.

· Severe Weather - Generally south of the I-10/12 corridor
· Rain - Across the area
· Thursday Cold - Across the area
· Friday Cold - Generally north of the I-10/12 corridor and the River Parishes
CONFIDENCE:
· Low confidence of marginal risk of severe weather
· High confidence of moderate to heavy rain amounts Tuesday into Wednesday
o Forecasted amounts 0.5" - 1" north to 2" - 3" deep southeast
o Reasonable Maximum amounts (10% chance) widespread 2" - 3", with isolated 4", and localized areas of 4"+.
· High confidence of freezing temperatures described above for Thursday and Friday mornings, with durations over 12 hours north.
· Strong/severe storms overnight Tuesday could cause wind and small hail damage.
· Rain Tuesday into Wednesday has a marginal (5%) likelihood of being heavy enough to result in flash flooding. The rain will cause rises in local rivers, but no additional flooding impacts are anticipated.
· Freezing Temperatures Thursday and Friday morning
o Temperatures are forecast to fall into the mid to upper 20s Thursday morning and upper 20 to low 30s Friday morning.
o These conditions can damage citrus and other sensitive agricultural crops.
o Pets will also be at risk unless brought into warm shelter.
o For areas where temperatures drop into the low to mid 20s, exposed pipes may also be damaged, as well.
