Quick Early Tuesday Morning Update:
“BLIZZARD WARNING” for SW & SC Louisiana? Who would have ever expected to see that word used across the Cajun Prairie?
Don't be fooled by periodic breaks in the snowfall this morning. However, the latest NWS projections do suggest that snow totals in SW Louisiana may end up a bit below the widespread 4"+ expected there ... but so far, the NWS is not lowering the numbers for areas east of the Atchafalaya Basin. Also note that the numbers have come down for much of Central LA.
Remember, it gets MUCH colder tonight compared to last night. In the end, I still think that the COLD will be the biggest problem with this storm, although the snow will get the attention (for now).
