- Tropical Storm Francine continues to become better organized over the southwestern Gulf.
- It is forecasted to move slowly northwestward today then turn more to the northeast tomorrow.
- It is now forecast to be a category 2 hurricane at landfall along the Louisiana coast.
- Francine is expected to bring threats of heavy rain, moderate to major coastal flooding, strong to damaging winds, and even a few tornadoes mainly from Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
- East Baton Rouge Parish is currently under the following watches and warnings:
- Tropical Storm Watch
- Flood Watch in effect from September 10, 07:00 AM until September 12, 07:00 AM.
- The most likely time of arrival of Tropical Storm Force Winds will be Wednesday morning.
- However, if the storm speeds up, winds could arrive as early as overnight Tuesday night.
